During the procedure, Dr Shilan will use a microneedling device, such as motorised pen to move it across the treatment area. The microchannels created in the skin help:

  • Boost collagen production improving skin elasticity and firmness
  • Reduce scarring and hyperpigmentation helping to fade acne scars, stretch marks and uneven skin tone
  • Minimise fine lines and wrinkles making the skin appear smoother and more youthful

Do I need to prepare my skin before treatment?

Before any microneedling treatment, it is best to have skin make up free and cleaned thoroughly as well as avoiding sun exposure for 24hours prior. Dr Shilan will prepare your skin properly before treatment.

How will my skin look after the treatment?

Skin reactions depend on the individual, however skin will appear pink/red for around 24hours. Other reactions after the treatment may include tightness and slight flaking. Skin will be back to normal within 7 days.

How many treatments will I need?

Generally, for best results, a curse of treatment will take place every 6 weeks for a series of 3-6 treatments. This is dependent on what is being treated.
